Requesting Student Records
If you are from an out of county or out of state school district and need student records for a student who transferred or withdrew from the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS), please follow the guidelines below:

Recent Withdrawals or Transfers

  • High School Students: If the student withdrew from an SCCPSS high school within the past two years, contact the last school attended directly for transcript or records.

  • Elementary, K-8 or Middle School Students: If the student transferred from an SCCPSS elementary, K-8 or middle school within the past year, contact the last school attended for records.

All Other Requests

Requests for older records or transcripts must be submitted in writing to Records Management and must include:

  • Full name of the student (as it appears on school records)
  • Name of the last school attended
  • A copy of the requester’s government-issued photo ID with signature
  • Complete mailing address for delivery
  • Applicable processing fee

Fees

  • High school transcripts: $3.00 per copy

  • Other records: $0.10 per page

You may submit payments online at School Window using a debit or credit card. Payment must be received before transcript processing begins. For mailed requests, include the completed request form, a copy of valid identification, and a money order or cashier’s check payable to SCCPSS Records Management.

Authorization

If the student is under eighteen, a parent or guardian may sign the request.

If the student is eighteen or older, the request must include the student’s signed authorization for release.
