17th Annual Student Success Expo Set for January 10th at Davis-Edwards-Harris Complex!
Updated

Join us for the 17th Annual Student Success Expo and STEM Festival on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the Davis-Edwards-Harris Educational Complex from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  In addition to college and career information, attendees will enjoy interactive displays and learn about all public school options across the district while gaining valuable information related to program pathways.

The Expo will feature a “Teddy Bear Clinic" which will focus on the Healthcare Science fields and showcase a collaboration between the school district and local healthcare professions and post-secondary institutions.  In addition, the Young Entrepreneurs and Young Inventors Showcase will feature students who are already taking their knowledge and initiative to open their own shop. The showcase will spotlight students in our schools who have an entrepreneurial spirit or who have invented products or services. Any student with a business can be showcased and promote their business – interested students should work through their teacher to register.   We want the community to meet our young entrepreneurs!

The Expo features all the district Choice programs including Performing Arts, Aviation Manufacturing and Service, Engineering, Welding, Aviation, Cosmetology, (Hair, Nails and Barbering), Culinary, Medical & Allied Health, Construction, Automotive Repair and Collision, Public Safety, Logistics, and more.  Students and parents will find a wide range of educational pathways that are sure to inspire a thirst for knowledge and higher learning.  The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System's Choice Program Application process will kick-off at the Expo.  Parents will be able to apply on-site for the Choice school or program that meets their child's interest (SY 26-27). Find more information on the district's Choice programs at this link.

In addition, admission to the district’s full-day program for 3-year old’s – the Little Acorn Academies at Gould Elementary and the Early Learning Center at Henderson E. Formey, Jr. School, can be applied for during this year’s Choice Program Lottery.  The Choice Program application can be found at SCCPSS.com/Choice beginning on January 10, 2026.

The District’s Pre-K Lottery will run concurrently with the Choice Program Lottery Process this year, though parents will need to fill out a separate application for Pre-K.  More information can be found at sccpss.com/pk .  The Pre-K lottery application will also be available there starting on January 10, 2026.

The Student Success Expo and STEM Festival is the signature event for the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, showcasing the seamless transition between education and careers.  The event provides students, parents, community, business, and industry an opportunity to understand the connection between our programs of study, college and career options through information made available by schools, colleges, and business and industry partners.  Students will also have an opportunity to apply and speak to college representatives from schools across the nation.

The event will include student competitions and interactive booth displays. Admission and parking are free and open to the public. Additional parking areas near the complex will be available at the following sites. SCCPSS will run shuttles from these locations for the event.
